Small text problems. Fast, focused tools.
TinyDevTools helps with small line-oriented cleanup tasks that interrupt development: inspect repeated values, remove blank lines, trim line edges, or sort a pasted list.
Choose one operation, inspect the changed output, and decide whether it is right for your data. The five text transformations run in client-side JavaScript; there is no TinyDevTools endpoint that receives text for processing.
Text cleanup utilities
Each tool documents its actual behavior, examples, edge cases, and related technical material.
Remove Duplicate Lines
Remove repeated lines while keeping the first occurrence of each exact line. Unlike a sort-and-uniq workflow, this operation does not reorder the input.
Use tool →Find Duplicate Lines
Find repeated lines and show how many times each exact line occurs. This is a review tool: it reports duplicates without changing your source text.
Use tool →Remove Empty Lines
Remove lines that contain no visible content. A line containing only spaces or tabs is treated as empty and removed.
Use tool →Sort Lines
Sort the lines of a text block using JavaScript's locale-aware string comparison. The operation changes order but does not trim or otherwise normalize the lines.
Use tool →Trim Whitespace
Remove leading and trailing whitespace from every line while leaving the characters between the ends of each line unchanged.
Use tool →Browser-first
These transformations run in client-side JavaScript. There is no TinyDevTools processing endpoint.
Predictable behavior
Documentation explains line endings, whitespace, ordering, and duplicate semantics instead of hiding them.
Built for workflows
Use the tools for pasted lists, logs, configuration snippets, exports, and other line-oriented text.
Inspect first. Transform only what you mean to change.
Consider this pasted list of discovered hosts:
api.internal cache.internal api.internal api.internal
Find Duplicate Lines reports the exact repeat without editing the input. Remove Duplicate Lines keeps the first exact copy and preserves order. It does not merge the indented near-match. If that whitespace is accidental, normalize a copy first, then inspect the result again.
That distinction makes the tools useful for review—not just for producing a tidier-looking block of text.
Go beyond the button
Guides explain the surrounding workflow, while Reference pages cover concepts such as line endings and whitespace that can cause subtle cleanup problems.
